The Spring show is coming: It’s just around the corner and it’s almost sold out (again!!). If you are a procrastinator, we suggest you hurry. If you need information on tables, e-mail Bill Price at williamprice4@comcast.net. See additional info above. Stolen Valor Act: Title 18, United States Code Section 704. I am not going to play lawyer nor try to explain the new law in this newsletter. Bottom line is this, the new law, signed 20 DEC 2006 states that it is illegal to buy, sell, trade or even mail the following U.S. medals, Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, Distinguished Service Cross, Air Force Cross, Silver Star and Purple Heart. I strongly agree with the intent of the law “Prosecuting fake war heroes”, but the current wording in it, affects collectors deeply, and can make you a criminal overnight. Right now it is best to take a “wait and see” approach to the law, and do not become the target of some Federal agent trying to make a name for themselves. You can have that Purple Heart in your collection, just don’t try to sell or trade it.
